Two jailed on meth charges in Delta County

ESCANABA, MI— Two people were arrested on drug-related charges following a traffic stop in Escanaba last week.

Thursday around 7:20 p.m., an Escanaba Public Safety K-9 officer stopped a vehicle on the 800 block of South Lincoln Road. The officer found suspected meth in the vehicle.

Information from the stop was used to secure a search warrant for an Escanaba residence. Police found about 50 grams of meth in the home.

Two people were arrested on felony offenses and lodged in the Delta County Jail.

The Delta County Sheriff's Office assisted in the case.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
