MARINETTE, WI— The suspect in a Marinette County bank robbery has been apprehended.
Friday around 1:51 p.m., the Marinette Police Department responded to a report of a robbery at the Peshtigo National Bank on Roosevelt Road. Officers spoke to witnesses and gathered evidence at the scene.
At 2:28 p.m., police received a tip that a person matching the suspect’s description was seen in Walmart. Officers took him into custody without further incident.
The 33-year-old Marinette man was lodged in the Marinette County Jail.
City Police were assisted by the Marinette County Sheriff's Office, Peshtigo Police Department, and the Wisconsin DNR.
