Suspect in Dickinson County bank threat case identified

IRON MOUNTAIN, MI— Police have identified the suspect accused of making bomb and shooting threats towards First National Banks in Dickinson County.

The Iron Mountain Police Department says Heather Dabb, 40, was arrested Monday. She’s charged with false report of a threat of terrorism, punishable by up to 20 years in prison and a $20,000 fine.

Police say the threats were made Monday around 10 a.m. The Iron Mountain bank was evacuated and other branches were put on lockdown. Police presence was increased at all bank locations.

The incident remains under investigation.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
