Rock man arrested for possession of meth, cocaine

ESCANABA, MI— A Rock man was arrested on multiple drug offenses following a traffic stop last week in Escanaba.

Wednesday around 5:40 p.m., Michigan State Police from the Gladstone Post stopped a vehicle on 3rd Avenue North near North 30th Street. The driver, Jeffrey Schultz, 27, was arrested for possession of meth and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.

Schultz was taken to the Delta County Jail. During the booking process, officers discovered he had additional drugs concealed on his body. He was also charged with smuggling contraband into a jail.

Schultz’ will next appear in 94th District Court on January 30th.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
