Wisconsin man arrested for various drug charges in Bark River Township

BARK RIVER TOWNSHIP, MI— A Green Bay man is jailed in Delta County on multiple drug charges.

Saturday around 3:55 a.m., Michigan State Police from the Gladstone Post were on patrol in Bark River Township. They conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for traffic violations on Old US-2/41 near D Road.

The driver, Steven Van Lanen, 56, was arrested for possession of cocaine, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of analogues.

He was lodged in the Delta County Jail on a $20,000 bond.

A probable cause hearing is set for February 13.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
