Two people found dead in Little Lake home

FORSYTH TOWNSHIP, MI— Two people have been found dead in Forsyth Township.

Thursday around noon, Township Police were dispatched to a Little Lake address to perform a wellbeing check. Officers were unable to contact the homeowner.

Based on information they were given, officers forced their way into the home and found two people dead inside. One appeared to have been stabbed.

Preliminary evidence collected at the scene indicates the incident was contained at the residence between the two individuals. Police say there is no threat to the community.

The names of those involved will not be released until all family members have been notified.

The case remains under investigation.

Forsyth Township Police were assisted at the scene by the Michigan State Police Crime Scene Response Team, the MSP 8th District Detective Division, Forsyth Township EMS, and Marquette County Central Dispatch.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
