Suspected drunk driver chased by police in Dickinson County

DICKINSON COUNTY, MI— A male driver was arrested after he led police on a chase in Dickinson County last week.

The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says deputies observed and pursued a speeding vehicle Thursday evening. The chase ended when the driver crashed into the LaFaive gas station in Quinnesec.

The suspect got out and ran from the vehicle, but deputies quickly caught and arrested him.

No injuries were reported, but the gas station sustained some damage.

The suspect was lodged in the Dickinson County Jail. He’s scheduled to be arraigned on February 12.

Officers say alcohol is believed to be a factor in the incident, which remains under investigation.
