Marquette Police arrest two on meth charges

MARQUETTE, MI— Two Marquette residents were arrested by City Police this week on charges related to drug activity.

On Friday, officers executed a search warrant at a residence on the 1300 block of Waldo Street. They found meth and associated paraphernalia.

Two people who live in the home—a 48-year-old woman and a 42-year-old man—were identified as suspects.

On Tuesday, both were arrested. The man is charged with possession of meth-2nd or subsequent offense. The woman is charged with possession of meth.

They posted bond and are set to be arraigned February 17 in Marquette County District Court.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
