Names of those found deceased in Little Lake last week released

LITTLE LAKE, MI— The Forsyth Township Police Department has released the names of those involved in a double fatality in Little Lake last week.

Thursday afternoon, officers conducted a wellness check at 1906 First Street and found two people deceased inside. They are identified as Tory David Chiconsky, 52, and Jami Lee Foy, 45.

Chiconsky appeared to have stabbed Foy to death before taking his own life. They had apparently been in an on-again, off-again relationship over the past several years. Though details leading up to the incident are unclear, officers believe it was a domestic dispute that turned deadly.

Autopsies were conducted Friday at the Michigan Institute of Forensic Science & Medicine in Saginaw to determine the official cause of death.

The case was sent to the Marquette County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

FTPD was assisted in the investigation by the Michigan State Police Crime Scene Unit (Marquette), MSP Detective Unit (8th District), Forsyth Township EMS, Michigan Institute of Forensic Science & Medicine, Marquette County Central Dispatch, Escanaba Public Safety Department, and the Ishpeming City Police Department.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
