Gwinn suspects nabbed for dumping meth in the woods

DELTA COUNTY, MI— Two Gwinn residents were arrested after they allegedly discarded meth in some Delta County woods.

On Saturday, Michigan State Police and Gladstone Public Safety officers conducted a traffic stop on two vehicles. Subsequent investigation located about 208 grams of meth that had been left in the woods.

Police arrested Jenny Donahue, 40, and Corey Racine, 35—both of Gwinn. They’re charged with delivery/manufacture of meth.

Donahue remains lodged in the Delta County Jail on a $20,000 bond.

Racine was initially granted a personal recognizance bond due to a medical issue. The prosecutor urged the court to impose a cash bond due to the large amount of meth involved, Racine’s lack of ties in Delta County, and his prior criminal history. The judge placed Racine on house arrest with a GPS tether.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
