MARINETTE, WI— Two people were arrested in the City of Marinette after shots were fired Thursday morning.
Around 2:52 a.m., Marinette County Dispatch received multiple calls from residents who heard gunshots near Cottage Row and Hattie Street. City Police say preliminary investigation determined a residence near the area was struck by gunfire. Officials learned there had been a disturbance involving individuals at the targeted residence.
Officers later located a 17-year-old male and a 19-year-old male, both of Green Bay, in the City of Oconto. They were lodged in the Marinette County Jail.
Charges related to the incident have also been forwarded to the Marinette County District Attorney’s Office for a 19-year-old Oconto woman.
Assisting Marinette Police were the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office, Marinette County Sheriff’s Office/Marinette Police Department’s Joint Special Response Team, Menominee Police Department, Oconto County Sheriff’s Office, Oconto Police Department, Green Bay Police Department, and Wisconsin State Patrol.
