Money stolen from Crystal Falls Church, police looking for leads

CRYSTAL FALLS, MI— Michigan State Police from the Iron Mountain Post are asking the public for information regarding the break-in of a church in Crystal Falls.

March 24 around 6 p.m., troopers responded to the Faith Fellowship Bible Church on US-2. Someone had broken into the building and taken a gallon-size jar containing between $600 and $800 in various denominations.

The jar was described as having a push-to-seal lid and an orange construction paper label on it with the words “SAMS BURU” on the front.

Troopers are requesting the public’s help in identifying the suspect or suspects or providing any information that could aid in the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the MSP Iron Mountain Post at 906-774-2122.
