UPDATE: Threats made against Marquette Culver's restaurant

UPDATED, 6/9/25 at 10:30 a.m.— Michigan State Police have identified the people responsible for making threats against the Marquette Culver’s Sunday.

Troopers from the Negaunee Post say a group of four juveniles called and made vague threats about shooting the restaurant. The threats weren’t directed at any specific individuals. Culver’s temporarily closed as a precaution.

Preliminary investigation has identified four juvenile suspects. The incident was reportedly an attempt at a prank call, with intention to cause any physical harm.

The case will be forwarded to the Marquette County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

Culver’s resumed normal operations on Monday.

MARQUETTE, MI— The Marquette Culver’s was closed Sunday after threats were directed at the restaurant.

Michigan State Police from the Negaunee Post say the threats appear to have been directed specifically at that location and not at any individuals. There’s no known danger to the public.

Culver’s temporarily closed as a precaution. It will resume normal operations on Monday.
