WI man arrested for using vehicle to run his wife off the road in domestic incident

MARINETTE, WI— A Marinette man was arrested over the weekend after he ran his wife off the road.

On Sunday the Marinette Police Department was dispatched to investigate a possible domestic violence situation involving a 28-year-old man. He allegedly used his vehicle to run his spouse off the road in the city.

Officers tried to contact the man but weren’t able to. They received information that indicated the man may be armed with a rifle and wanted to engage in a shootout with police.

Due to the escalating nature of the incident, the Marinette Joint Special Response Team, Crisis Negotiation Team, and Drone Team were called to the scene. Police and deputies safely took the man into custody.

The suspect was arrested for disorderly conduct-domestic violence order, second-degree recklessly endangering safety, intimidation of a victim, and armed while intoxicated.

Marinette Police were assisted by the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office and Aurora Medical Center paramedics.
