Man who shot at neighbor arrested in Crystal Falls Township

CRYSTAL FALLS TOWNSHIP, MI— A Crystal Falls Township man is jailed for shooting a gun during a dispute with a neighbor.

The Iron County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched Tuesday at 7:52 p.m. to a residence on a neighbor harassment complaint. Deputies were told that a subject had discharged a firearm and retreated to his house.

Police arrested Jeffrey Jablonski, 72, and lodged him in the Iron County Correctional Facility on a $100,000 bond. He was arraigned Wednesday on charges of assault with intent to murder, carrying a concealed weapon, and malicious destruction of fire or police property.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
