ESCANABA, MI— Police are investigating a murder in Escanaba.
Public Safety officers were dispatched Wednesday around 7:18 a.m. to a residence in the city on a report of a possible stabbing.
When officers arrived, they found the victim inside the home. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
A suspect was located in another state and taken into custody without incident. Police say there is no ongoing threat to the community.
No further information is being released at this time as the investigation is ongoing.
Assisting in the incident were Rampart, the Delta County Sheriff’s Office, Michigan State Police, the MSP Crime Lab, Delta County Central Dispatch, and other law enforcement agencies.
