Forsyth Township man faces 24 charges related to child sexually abusive material

GWINN, MI— A Gwinn man has been arrested in connection with the sexual exploitation of a minor.

On August 12, the Forsyth Township Police Department began an investigation into Patrick Moore, 44, of Gwinn. Officers conducted a search of Moore’s residence and seized digital evidence. Examination of the items by the Michigan State Police Computer Crimes Unit resulted in the discovery of child sexually abusive material on a cellular device.

Moore was arrested in Escanaba on Wednesday. He’s charged with:

  • 11 counts of using a computer to commit a crime
  • 7 counts of aggravated child sexually abusive material
  • 4 counts of possession of child sexually abusive material
  • Criminal sexual conduct—third offense
  • Evidence tampering

A preliminary exam is scheduled for November 5 in Marquette County District Court.
