Identities of 7 nabbed in human trafficking operation released

DICKINSON COUNTY, MI— The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office has released the names of seven men arrested during a human trafficking sting earlier this month.

The operation held October 8-12 targeted those involved in the sexual exploitation of children and vulnerable adults.
The following individuals were arrested:

  • David Anthony Bailey, 45, of Green Bay
  • Kelsey Lee Burbank, 29, of Kingsford
  • John Charles Coughlin, 61, of Iron Mountain
  • Nicholas Jon Krackenberger, 29, of Iron Mountain
  • Joseph Scott Peters, 41, of Green Bay
  • Guy Andre Ruder, 51, of Tomahawk, WI
  • Dennis Walter Zuern, 65, of Iron Mountain

Each suspect is charged with the following:

  • Child sexually abusive activity
  • Use of a computer to commit child sexually abusive activity
  • Use of a computer to commit accosting a child for immoral purposes
  • Accosting children for immoral purposes

Assisting in the investigation were the Iron Mountain Police Department, Kingsford Public Safety, the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office, Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office, Homeland Security Investigations, the Niagara Police Department, Menominee County Sheriff’s Office, and journalist Chris Hansen and his production crew from TruBlu Network.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
