Marinette deputies looking for owners of stolen property

MARINETTE, WI— The Marinette County Sheriff’s Office is asking residents of Stephenson, Athelstane, and Silver Cliff to check if any of their property has been stolen.

This September, detectives executed multiple search warrants related to a burglary investigation. As a result, a large quantity of stolen property was recovered.

Although numerous burglaries were solved as a result of the investigation, the sheriff’s office still has a quantity of unidentified/unclaimed suspected stolen property.

Deputies are asking victims of reported or unreported burglaries that happened between 2022 and 2025 to review the attached photographs to identify any property they may have lost.

Anyone who believes some of the property belongs to them is asked to contact Detective Callahan at 715-732-7622.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
