Niagara bust results in drug seizures, 6 arrests

NIAGARA, WI— Six people were arrested, following a drug bust in Niagara, Wisconsin on December 12.

The Marinette County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the KIND drug team, Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit, the Florence County Sheriff’s Office, and the Niagara Police Department, executed a search warrant at a residence on Chapman Road.

Police seized 191.926 grams of meth, 6.315 grams of purple fentanyl, 72.72 grams of marijuana, and 146 illegal prescription pills. Multiple stolen firearms were also found.

Taken into custody on drug-related and other charges were Jason Bjorkman, Robert Bjorkman, and Clarence Bjorkman of Niagara, Joanna Ostermann and Levi Bjorkman of Kingsford, and Samantha Polchies of Aurora, Wisconsin.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
