Deputies discover nearly 100 grams of meth in Pembine woman's vehicle

BEECHER, WI— A Pembine woman was arrested on drug charges last week, following an incident in the town of Beecher.

The Marinette County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched April 16 around 10:30 p.m. to an address on Dam Road for an active physical disturbance. One person left the residence as police arrived, but a deputy initiated a traffic stop a short distance away.

During the stop, K-9 Vinny was deployed. The dog located a total of 99.16 grams of meth, as well as other drugs and drug paraphernalia. A 48-year-old Pembine woman was arrested as a result.

Numerous drug-related charges and charges related to the disturbance have been referred to the Marinette County District Attorney’s Office.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
