Fentanyl found in vehicle during Marinette County traffic stop over the weekend

POUND, WI— Two people were arrested on drug charges Saturday after the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop in the town of Pound.

The vehicle was stopped on County Highway B near Double R Road.

The Octonto County Sheriff’s Office assisted and deployed K-9 Rena. More than 32 grams of fentanyl was found, along with other drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Two people were arrested, and numerous drug-related charges have been referred to the Marinette County District Attorney’s Office.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
