ESCANABA, MI— An Escanaba man has been arrested on drug charges, following an investigation by the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team.

UPSET had been investigating the 34-year-old for distributing cocaine for a year and a half. The Delta County Prosecutor’s Office recently authorized a three-count felony warrant and the suspect was arrested at his residence without incident.

Further investigation resulted in the seizure of more than two pounds of cocaine, a small amount of ketamine, and more than $24,000 in cash.

The cocaine was found at a separate property in Gladstone. It has a street value of about $55,000.

The suspect remains lodged in the Delta County Jail and the case is being reviewed for possible additional charges.
