SAINT IGNACE, MICH. – A St Ignace man has been arrested on charges related to receiving child sexually abusive materials online.
The Michigan State Police Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force says 19-year old Jaxon James Massaway was arrested following an investigation that revealed he was receiving child sexually abusive material online. A search of his residence resulted in digital evidence being seized. He was arraigned Tuesday in 92nd District Court of Mackinac County on three counts of possession of ‘child sexually abusive material – aggravated’ and two counts of ‘using a computer to commit a crime’. He faces up to ten years in prison for each count.
The MSP Computer Crimes Unit encourages parents to speak to their children about the safe use of the internet.
