Wisconsin man sentenced on assault charges in Menominee County

Menominee, MI – A Marinette, Wisconsin, man has been sentenced on assault charges relating to a July, 2025, incident in Menominee, Michigan.

         According to the Menominee Prosecutor’s office, 38-year old Kevin Paul Richwalski provoked a confrontation with three teenagers at the Lighthouse Park in Menominee on July 1st, 2025. Rickwalski threatened to whip the teenagers with a chain and attempted to hit them with his truck. He then chased them in his truck at speeds up to 100mph before crashing into a pole in the parking lot of the Dollar Tree store.

         Rickwalski was sentenced June 5th to concurrent terms of 5-to-10 years for two counts of assault with intent to commit great bodily harm less than murder. He was also sentenced on 2-counts of felonious assault as well as operating while intoxicated and reckless driving.

         According to the prosecutor’s office, Rickwalski has 11 previous convictions in 5 different states.
