Man wanted on Marinette County warrants also charged with drug trafficking

MARINETTE COUNTY, MI— A man wanted on warrants for battery and stalking was arrested in Marinette County Wednesday.

Marinette Police officers and Marinette County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop that resulted in the arrest of a 39-year-old man for manufacturing/delivering more than 40 grams of cocaine, maintaining a drug trafficking place, operating a vehicle with a revoked license, and failure to comply with a court order requiring the installation of an ignition interlock device.

The suspect was also taken into custody on two outstanding warrants for two counts of battery and disorderly conduct and one count of intimidation of a victim/stalking. He remains lodged in the Marinette County Jail.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
