MENOMINEE TOWNSHIP, MI— A Menominee Township man is charged with assault with intent to commit murder, following an argument about cutting grass over the weekend.
On Saturday, Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a residence after a man shot at another individual during an argument about mowing. The Menominee County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant and arrested Anthony Mech, 57.
He was arraigned Monday on charges of assault with intent to commit murder, felony firearms, felon in possession of firearms, and felon in possession of ammunition. He remains lodged in the Menominee County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
Mech’s next court date is set for August 10.
