MUNISING, MI— An Alger County Sheriff’s deputy on Sunday arrested a man who had nearly a pound of meth in his vehicle.
Around 4:45 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop on M-94 near Rumley. During the stop, the driver made statements and gestures that caused the deputy to suspect illegal activity.
A K-9 was deployed and alerted to the presence of narcotics. The deputy seized more than 14.9 ounces of meth from the vehicle. The driver, John Jacobson, 56, was arrested. He was arraigned Monday on one count of possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine.
Jacobson remains lodged in the Alger County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
