KINGSFORD, MI— The U.S. Border Patrol says it has arrested multiple people in Kingsford as part of targeted immigration enforcement action.
In a Facebook post, U.S. Border Patrol Detroit Sector says a Sault Ste. Marie Station agent arrested five immigrants from Nicaragua and Mexico on July 30. Officials say their combined criminal histories include a warrant for resisting an officer, driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of a controlled substance, and driving without a valid license.
They say two of the immigrants will be charged with felony re-entry and all will be deported from the U.S.
