MARQUETTE, MI— A Marquette man faces misdemeanor and felony charges stemming from an indecent exposure incident in the city.
On Wednesday, while at the beach on Lakeshore Boulevard near Pine Street, witnesses noticed Gordon Quinnell, 70, allegedly fondling himself. They contacted the Marquette Police Department.
Quinnell was gone when officers arrived, but he was positively identified through the assistance of tips on social media. Police contacted Quinnell and further investigation resulted in his arrest.
The case was referred to the Marquette County Prosecutor’s Office for review of an additional charge resulting from Quinnell’s prior conviction of a similar offense. He was arraigned Thursday on a high court misdemeanor charge of aggravated indecent exposure and a felony count of indecent exposure by a sexually delinquent person.
