Suspect arrested in Moran Township stabbing incident

MORAN TOWNSHIP, MI— An 18-year-old man is in custody for stabbing another man in Mackinac County on Friday.

Michigan State Police from the St. Ignace Post were dispatched to Moran Township on a report that a man stabbed another 18-year-old man following a verbal altercation.

The victim was taken to Mackinac Straits Health System, then transferred to McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey for additional treatment.

The suspect was arrested for attempted murder and lodged in the Mackinac County Jail.

The incident remains under investigation.

The St. Ignace Police Department assisted in the incident.
