ESCANABA, MI— Authorities in Escanaba say a call Thursday claiming someone had shot a member of their family was fake.
Escanaba Public Safety received the call around 11 a.m. and responded with the Delta County Sheriff’s Office and Michigan State Police. All residents at the reported locations were contacted, and the information provided by the caller was proven false.
Information regarding the call was forwarded to the appropriate agencies for further investigation.
