MENOMINEE, MI--   Michigan's Lieutenant Governor Brian Calley is planning to visit a number of Upper Peninsula businesses as part of a daylong tour this week.  The governor's office says all of the businesses being visited Monday by Calley are growing.

Events start Monday morning at Nu-Vu Food Service Systems, a commercial oven manufacturing company in Menominee.  Calley then plans to stop at Grede LLC, a metal component supplier in Kingsford, and M.J. Electric, which is based in Iron Mountain.

Calley also has stops at Lester Detterbeck Enterprises, a manufacturer of cutting tools in Iron River, and Global Response North, a call center in Iron River.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
