LSCP receives medal

MARQUETTE, MI--   The Lake Superior Community Partnership won a medal at a recent awards ceremony for economic development organizations.

Atlas Advertising gave the Marquette-based group a silver medal in the High Performance Economic Development category.  It says the LSCP reported significant job and investment numbers in the Marquette County area over the past 12 months.

Meanwhile, the nominating committee of the International Economic Development Council has elected the Chief Executive Officer of the LSCP—Amy Clickner—to its board of directors.  The IEDC represents the largest network of economic development professionals in the world.

Clicker will serve a two-year term.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
