GM sales sluggish in November

DETROIT, MI (AP)--   General Motors says its November U.S. sales rose just 3 percent from a year earlier.

The nation's largest automaker says it sold more than 186,000 cars and trucks, led by the Buick and Cadillac brands.

Cadillac sales rose 30 percent from a year earlier, while Buick sales were up 22 percent. But sales from GM's top-selling Chevrolet brand were flat and GMC sales fell 1 percent.

Sales of the Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck—GM's biggest seller—fell 10.4 percent.  Cadillac SRX crossover SUV sales rose 13 percent.

GM's car sales rose 19 percent in November, while trucks were down 11 percent.
