MARQUETTE COUNTY -
Rio Tinto is holding a series of community forums on the status of its Eagle Mine in Marquette County. The company says the forums will be held in Marquette and Baraga counties and will give residents an opportunity to have a dialog with Eagle representatives. The first forum is today (Monday) at 6pm at the Ishpeming Country Village Convention Center. Other forums will be held beginning Thursday in Humboldt Township… then over the next two weeks in Marquette, L’Anse, Michigamme, and Powell Township. Each forum begins at 6pm.
