MARQUETTE, MI-- It will cost more for students to eat and live at Northern Michigan University next year.
At a meeting Thursday the NMU Board of Trustees approved housing and dining rates for the 2014-2015
academic year. The cost of a standard, double-occupancy dorm room and “constant meal pass” option will be $8,742—an increase of $254 from the current rate. The Board said the increase is necessary to offset inflationary cost increases in other areas.
In other action the Board agreed to offer a Faculty Voluntary Early Retirement Incentive Program to those who are 62 or older and have at least ten years of service to the university.
