ISHPEMING, MI--   A student who attends Ishpeming High School has died.

WLUC-TV reports District administration released the following statement Tuesday morning:

"It is with great sadness that we inform you of the death of one of our high school students.

It is very difficult for all of us to face the death of a young person. Today, a support team of psychologists, counselors, and pupil personnel workers from Ishpeming and our surrounding school districts are working with our staff members to provide counseling and support to our students. Students who need additional support should contact their school counselor.

Children may be coming home with questions and worries about this loss. Please feel free to contact the school counselors if you have an issue you would like to discuss.

Our heartfelt sympathy to this student’s family.
