Finlandia graduates to be honored online

HANCOCK, MI--   Finlandia University is holding a virtual graduation ceremony next month.

May 21 at 6 p.m. university President Philip Johnson, Vice President of Academic Affairs Fredi deYampert, student representative Richard Tobey, and commencement speaker Darlene King will hold commencement on Facebook Live. Students will be able to create watch parties with their friends and family.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
