MARQUETTE, MI— The NMU Board of Trustees has approved 22 appointments to the Presidential Search Advisory Committee.
In a special meeting Wednesday the Board unanimously passed the nominations from faculty, staff, administration, students and the community. NMU Assistant Vice President and Dean of Students Chris Greer was appointed chair of the committee.
Trustee Tami Seavoy said the Board realized the committee would need to be a well-balanced collection of Northern stakeholders.
“The appointments bring campus-wide representation as well as community and alumni points of view. Moreover, the individuals from each area are very capable leaders who have been recognized as such by their peers.”
Company Parker Executive Search will identify prospective presidential candidates. Committee members will review candidate resumes, interview top candidates and identify three to five candidates to present to the NMU Board, which will select the next president.
