Finlandia presidential search moves ahead

HANCOCK, MI— Finlandia University has taken steps forward in finding a new president.

The Board of Trustees has selected a national executive search firm and established a Presidential Search Committee. It’s comprised of Board members, Finlandia alumni, faculty and staff. Committee members will work with company Academic Search to develop candidates.

In October President Philip Johnson announced he would step down from the top post at the end of this academic year.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
