Focus groups to help guide Peter White Public Library's future

MARQUETTE, MI— Peter White Public Library is asking residents what they think its future should look like.

Director Andrea Ingmire says the library is developing a new, ten-year strategic plan. They’ve posted a survey and will hold focus groups to gather input on how the library can meet the needs of those who use it.

Ingmire says Peter White is working with a consultant, which will take information gathered from the focus groups and the surveys and condense it into a document. The library will then use it to set goals and objectives.

“Folks who are really interested in having a voice in what the library’s direction should be really should participate, because that information will play directly into what goals we set for the future,” she says.

The survey is on the library’s website, www.pwpl.info. Residents can also sign up online for in-person focus groups being held Monday, June 13 and virtual groups on Wednesday and Thursday, June 15 and 16.
