MARQUETTE, MI— Northern Michigan University is on track with its search for a new president.

The preferred submission date for applications was Monday, and the Presidential Search Advisory Committee will begin a review of candidates on August 10. The committee will select candidates to interview on Zoom September 7 and 9, then will whittle the pool down to three or four finalists.

The finalists will come to Marquette for in-person interviews the weeks of September 12 and 19 and to meet the campus community. The NMU Board of Trustees will also meet with each finalist on campus before a scheduled announcement of the new president the week of September 26.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
