MARQUETTE, MI— The third candidate for NMU’s president’s seat met the campus community and residents Tuesday.
Meera Komarraju is currently the provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. A professor of psychology, she has served as the Director of the Undergraduate Psychology Program and Department Chair, as Associate Dean for student and curricular affairs for the College of Liberal Arts, and as College Dean. She was also the President of the Faculty Senate.
Komarraju holds a doctoral degree in applied social psychology from the University of Cincinnati, and doctoral and master’s degrees in industrial-organizational psychology from Osmania University in India.
