Bay seeking applicants for president

ESCANABA, MI— Bay College is looking for a new president.

The college’s Board of Trustees is now accepting applications to replace Dr. Laura Coleman, who is retiring on June 30th. She is the fifth and longest-serving president at Bay, having been in the position for nearly 17 years.

Officials say the next president must be willing to make a long-term commitment to the region, should demonstrate ethical, innovative, and transparent leadership while focusing on student success, and should demonstrate commitment to the community college mission.

Instructions for applying and other information is at www.baycollege.edu/president. Application materials should be received no later than March 1st to ensure full consideration.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
