Last class to graduate from Finlandia this weekend

HANCOCK, MI— Finlandia University will graduate its final students on Sunday.

Spring commencement begins at 1:30 p.m. at the Hirvonen Hall auditorium. A reception will immediately follow on Quincy Green.

Commencement weekend culminates with a Service of Commendation at 6 p.m. in the auditorium. All Finlandia students, staff, faculty, alumni, neighbors, and friends of the University are invited to the service. They will be invited to share their memories of the university—formerly Suomi College—and how the story of the school intersected with their own.

The event will also be livestreamed on Finlandia University’s YouTube channel.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
