ESCANABA, MI— U.S. Senator Gary Peters stopped in Escanaba Tuesday during his motorcycle tour of Michigan.
He visited Bay College to see how the college’s workforce development efforts are helping students find in-demand jobs. Peters toured Bay’s “Water Lab,” where students in the Water Resource Management Program and Water Technology Program train in water and wastewater treatment and water pollution prevention.
Following the tour, Peters joined senior leaders from Bay College—including new President Nerita Hughes—to discuss how they are helping to meet regional and statewide workforce demands.
