Hancock schools offer survey to get input regarding qualities of next superintendent

HANCOCK, MI— The Hancock Public Schools District has released details about its search for a new superintendent.

Officials have posted a surveyto help identify the qualities, experiences, and skills residents are looking for in the next superintendent. Results will be collected October 16th.

The Hancock Board of Education will meet November 6th with the Michigan Association of School Boards for a work session on the collected data.

November 9th is the cutoff date for applicants. If necessary, the district will call a special meeting on November 10th to review candidates and go over the next steps of the process.

Officials hope to interview candidates on November 13th and have someone in place soon afterward.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
