President selected for Gogebic Community College

IRONWOOD, MI— Gogebic Community College has a new president.

Chris Patritto of Hurley, Wisconsin will assume the post on January 2nd.

A GCC alum, Patritto has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, a Master of Science in Educational Administration,

and a District Administrator Certification from the University of Wisconsin-Superior.

He worked in the Hurley School District in a number of roles, eventually becoming District Administrator from 2004 to 2019. Patritto has also served as Interim District Administrator in the Ashland School District. He is currently employed as a Neola Policy Associate, working with nearly 60 school districts in the state of Wisconsin to facilitate the development of new policies.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
