Michigan.gov

LANSING, Mich. – The Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential – or MiLEAP - has announced the availability of grant funds in support of community-based organizations providing before-school, after-school, or summer programming to children.

Out-of-School time grants totaling $57 million will support programs that facilitate socialization, better academic performance, and build confidence for Michigan’s youth, while ensuring a safe and supportive environment for them outside of classroom hours.

Eligible organizations that want to learn more can visit the Out-of-School Time Grants webpage.

MiLEAP’s mission is to improve outcomes from preschool to postsecondary so anyone can ‘make it in Michigan’ with a solid education and a path to a good-paying job. To learn more about MiLEAP, go to Michigan.gov/MiLEAP.
